Elementary Algebra

This elementary algebra course for grades 4-6 is designed to introduce students to the basics of algebraic concepts and problem-solving skills. Students will learn the fundamentals of algebra, including basic operations with numbers and variables, solving for an unknown variable, using algebraic expressions to represent real-world situations, and solving simple equations. Students will also learn how to apply these concepts to real-world scenarios, such as finding unknown quantities in word problems.
 

Week 1: Introduction to Algebraic Expressions

Week 2: Addition and Subtraction of Algebraic Expressions

Week 3: Multiplication and Division of Algebraic Expressions

Week 4: Equations with One Variable

Week 5: Equations with Two Variables

Week 6: Inequalities and Absolute Values

Week 7: Graphing in the Coordinate Plane

Week 8: Review and Application

This course is offered as an 8 class semester.
