Sarah Denner, MA
Hi I’m Sarah! I am a graduate of Montana State University with a Master’s degree in Education, as well as a graduate of University of New Hampshire with a degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. My favorite part about being an educator and tutor is experiencing the “aha!” moments with students. I love to see the look on someone’s face who has just had a significant breakthrough after struggling to learn material that was once challenging to them. My goal is to help my students create connections with the material that they are studying, so that they can not only learn it, but retain their understanding for the future. I strive to create a positive, relaxed atmosphere for my students, so that learning isn’t stressful. Further, for each student I work with them to understand their unique style of learning so that I can tailor the experience to best suit their needs.

I have been teaching and tutoring for eight years, in a wide variety of science and math courses from kindergarten to high school age students. My specialties are in Biological science, Environmental science, Pre-Algebra and Algebra, and I also enjoy teaching Earth and Space science, Physical science, and Chemistry. In all my classes I work with students on reading strategies and comprehension, to edit/organize their writing, and to prepare for exams. I look forward to working with you!
