Sara Wright
Hi, I’m Sara Wright! I teach English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics to young learners at the late elementary and middle school levels. I am a patient, supportive, and adaptive teacher!
In addition to over 4000 hours of experience teaching and tutoring ELA online, I have two and a half years of formal experience teaching in the classroom at the SJdS International Day School in Nicaragua. I was the lead English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teacher for grades 5-7 as well as a Teacher’s Assistant (TA) for grades 6-9. My role as the EFL teacher was to support incoming Spanish-speaking students as they transitioned to the English-led classroom. I planned and taught small group ELA and math classes.
I love teaching and consider myself a never-ending learner too! I speak English natively, but I also have learned fluent Spanish, and I've been studying Mandarin Chinese for almost two years! I believe it is so important to instill a love of learning in young students, and I aim to make my classes both informative and fun!

I look forward to helping your young learner!
